An established engineering company known for delivering tailored automation and robotics solutions to a broad range of industries is seeking aSeniorMechanical Design Engineer. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a growing automation and innovation team, with end-to-end ownership of machinery that solves real-world manufacturing problems.

With in-house fabrication, machining and electrical integration capabilities, this business delivers complete systems under one roof- ranging from high-speed ultrasonic cutting to robotics and 3D vision inspection. Their clients span sectors such as food and beverage, automotiveand packaging, and each project is a one-off.

What Youll Do

• Design bespoke automated machinery using 3D CAD

• Create detailed component and assembly drawings for manufacture

• Design integrated mechanical systems

• Collaborate with controls and electrical teams to develop complete robotic and automated cells

• Participate in build, testing, commissioning and client acceptance

What Youll Bring

• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience in automation machinery

• CAD proficiency (Inventor or similar)

• Strong understanding of motion systems, materials, and manufacturing processes

• Practical mindset and willingness to get involved on the shop floor

• Knowledge of robotics, vision systems or ultrasonic/waterjet cutting would be a bonus
